Cummins Inc. Is looking for a motivated Apprentice to join their service team in the distribution business segment in Kathu. The successful candidate will enrol in a program designed to develop them into a qualified Diesel Fitter/Engine Technician. They will work on engine maintenance and repair, learn to diagnose mechanical issues, and follow safety and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in Product Repair and Maintenance: Efficiently repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products, disassemble and assemble engines or power generators, and inspect and replace parts to minimize customer costs
• Strong Mechanical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of Cummins and industry standards, comply with safe work procedures, and apply mechanical principles to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (NSC) from a South African school system
• An NCV Level 4, a qualification offered at TVET colleges, which includes subjects passed in Engineering Process, Professional Engineering Practice, Applied Engineering Technology, Automotive Repair & Maintenance, Mathematics, English First Language and Life Skills and Computer Literacy
